Net rate of schooling: relationship between the number of schoolchildren at each level and age group and the population of said age group.
The theoretical ages to attend the different levels are: 0-2 years for first cycle Early Childhood Education, 3-5 years for second cycle Early Childhood Education, 6-11 years for Primary Education, 12-17 years for Secondary Education, 12-15 years for E.S.O, 16-17 years for Baccalaureate, 16-17 years for Intermediate Vocational Training and 18-29 years for higher studies.
In order to calculate the rates for 2002/03 and 2003/04 the population projections published by Eustat were used
