New uses of statistics in the knowledge society and the web

Directed by: Cristina Prado Valle. Eustat. Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Objectives: The aim of the course is to analyse the new uses of statistics in the current knowledge society and especially in the field of the new technologies offered to us by the Internet.

The course will develop the following aspects:

• Use of statistics in marketing on the Internet and in the design of SEO strategy.
• Application of these new uses in the sphere of the public administration of the Basque Country.
• Use of web statistics as a business opportunity and in the private sphere.
• Other uses of statistics: electoral processes and the world of education.
